This was a new car showroom and vehicle MOT/maintenance building. It features a steel frame clad with glass over a double storey height showroom with adjacent steel portal frame.

This was a brown field site with associated difficulties in respect of ground remediation. Full external works included road, parking areas and below ground foul and surface water drainage.

Due to existing ground conditions, vibrostone column ground remediation was utilised in order to improve the conditions encountered on the existing brown field site.

The superstructure was open plan steel frame forming showroom, office areas and bespoke roof elements. Office floors in precast planks including the formation of a lift for ease of access.

Initial site visits were required on a frequent basis in order to manage the vibro ground remediation operation. Once completed, weekly site visits were undertaken in order to inspect for quality and record purposes as works developed. Progress was reported back to the client as part of our agreed brief.
